Dan and his helper Alfie were amazing. I had a nightmare move where my new house purchase didn’t complete on the same day as my house sale. I found myself with all my belongings needing to go into storage over the weekend and then move again on Monday. Dan and Alfie didn’t bat an eyelid when the goods needed to go to a new location last minute. They worked non stop, taking care with my things, late into the evening until the job was done. Hard recommend.
Dan was an absolute star. We had a challenging move from England to Northern Ireland in the middle of storm Floris and he proactively amended his plans as conditions changed (including which ferry to take, and moving our possessions between trucks!) in order to ensure he made the crossing on the scheduled date. He was professional and communicative throughout the process so we always knew what was going on, even when arrival timings were slightly delayed due to circumstances outside anyone's control. We would definitely use his services again, and would highly recommend him to anyone else moving house.
Moving To Midhurst?
You’re getting a proper market town with a decent amount going on without it being overwhelming. The town centre’s got independent shops, cafes, and a few good pubs rather than the usual chain store takeover you see everywhere else. Cowdray Park and the polo grounds are right there if that’s your thing, and you’re basically on the edge of the South Downs, so walking routes are everywhere.
It’s well connected considering the size of it. You can get to Chichester in about twenty minutes, Petersfield’s similar, and you’re on the A272 which runs all the way across to the coast. Not the quickest route to London, but you’re looking at just over an hour and a half if you’re driving up the A3.
The town’s got what you need day-to-day – supermarkets, doctors, dentists, schools that people actually want to get their kids into. There’s a proper community feel to the place, with festivals and events throughout the year. Housing ranges from old townhouses in the centre to modern family homes on the edges, with plenty of cottages and rural properties scattered around the outskirts.
It’s the sort of town where you can walk to most things, people still use the local shops, and you’re not miles from civilisation but you’ve got countryside right on your doorstep. Good balance if you want somewhere that actually feels like a town rather than just a commuter estate.
